Albany is full of history and there is so much to see. Unfortunately the weather had turned and our first two days saw us batton down the hatches at the caravan park with winds up to 125km/h. We arrived at Albany around 10:30am today. First stop a McCafe for a much needed brewed coffee. Then onto a the Big 4 caravan park on Middleton Beach. Mackayla is in her element now, a beautiful park with a pool and spa and right on the beach. It's her 9th birthday tomorrow so we are spoiling her. We free camped at the Pallingup River near Wellstead last night. It was a very pretty spot and is only 100km from Albany. Mandy befriended a French backpacker (Sarah) who stayed for dinner. She was a really nice person and was studying medicine back in France. I thought she was mad to be driving around a foreign country by herself, sleeping in her car. Today we were all feeling much better so it was time to finally check out a few things in Esperance. Just out of Esperence is a full size replica of the original "Stonehenge" in the UK, it's identical to how it would have looked around 1950BC. It is made out of of Granite from the area.
