The picture was taken in Belgrade, Serbia this morning as my pictures of Croatia aren't on my IPad. Everything is so yummy!
Meanwhile back in Croatia, the devastated town , which suffered a 89 day siege, has continued to be renovated over the past 14 years. There is 30% unemployment. Most of the homes heat with wood as gas central heating i s only available in the cities. As the Serb's left they mined the wooded areas. They are very dangerous even today.
From there we went to Osijek - the largest city in the north of Croatia. We visited a glittering with gold, St Anthony Roman Catholic Church it was the 5th place of worship to be built on this site as the Turks converted it into a mosque and the Christian returned it to a church .
Osijek smells like candy when they are processing the sugar beets into sugar, and like barbecue when they are making oil from sunflower seeds.
There are many storks who make their homes here in the summer.
