St Vitus is a magnificent cathedral- over 400 yards (4football fields) long. Begun in 1344 and completed in 1929 for the 1,000 anniversary of St Wenceslas ( of the Christmas carol) death. The only thing I knew about St Vitus was the St Vitus dance. When I asked, our guide told me that he lived in the 4 th century and was enthusiastic about converting the Czechs to Christianity.
