So we drove down to the airport and parked our car in a parking station, checked in and boarded our Emirates flight in a very crowded Airbus. The seats are very close together.

When we arrived in Dubai it was 32 degrees outside at 6am!! I bought an Aladdin's lamp (like the little one I'd bought previously) then we caught our next flight, in a Boeing (thank heavens). I sat next to a woman who'd flown out from London to Dubai for a 2-day party!! On to Heathrow where we had a 6 hour wait until a funny little plane took us on a 2 hour flight to Denmark. No food, no maps, no entertainment, no customs hassle!!
