Staying on Paradise Beach, Gokarna. A small cut off bay. no electricity, no running water, no roads. just me and a few friends. perfect. Feels very Robinson Crusoe or 'The Beach' -esk. A real adventure. Some members of the small pocket of travelers that find themselves here have been here way to long and have gone quite mad but i really like the place. The break from 'real' India was just what was needed and life is once again all good...

The last few days I've been floating through, looking but not seeing. Reaching Hassan, feeling still a bit worn down, i stick around for a couple of days visiting some amazingly intricate temples in Belur and Halibet. By stark contrast to the hospitality and smiles of the Tibetan camps, my return to 'India' came with a bump! After a disagreement with an un-shifting rickshaw wallah, i hauled myself onto a bus.
