Long road behind me once again. The day before yesterday said goodbyes again and as usual when leaving loved ones behind, it got emotional. Luckily my flight from George to Jozi was delayed and got some extra time with friends. Miss u guys :( Got to Jozi and slept overnight at a backpacker's only to wake up to fly to Doha in the morning. Was probably the most fun flight I've ever had, started chatting with a South African guy who works for Qatar Airways, ended up spending most of the flying time at the back around crew territory. Will show you hilarious photo evidence once I get my camera sorted.
After the flight spent the night sleeping under a benchrow at Doha International. Have to say it was a relaxing night! Could hardly turn side but there was something rather fascinating about spending the night like this, squeezed into tiny space with my daypack as a pillow. I bet there were a few funny looks while I was busy snoring the night away (not that I snore!).
Woke up to my alarm ringing and got up to board the flight to London. Not half as colourful journey as the one the day before but was tired anyway. And don't think I could handle another flight with endless red wine service. Due to the late arrival of the flight to London, nearly missed my flight from London to Helsinki which was on a separate ticket. This bit is for Aussie-Andrew (a fellow elitist in unlikely circumstances): Guess which fat b**** was so busy shopping pink champagne truffels from duty free that was the last person to board the plane.. ;)
Well got to Helsinki in a hyperactive state of mind and wearing practically beachwear, mood dropped with about a hundread after the first rude face in the form of passport control (If people only knew how awful finns can be during the darkest time of year). Tomorrow to Dubayy!!! Yay :)
