Novi Sad is the second largest city in Serbia but through city centre is very compact and easy to walk. There several pedestrian walking streets and the central core is bordered by city hall, the Catholic Church (huge and beautiful) and the bishop's palace (can't go in, he lives there). Tuesday the temperature was 31 We woke up Wednesday morning to 9 degrees Thursday it was 4 at 0700 I guess going back to Calgary won't be such a shock after all Shivering Hippies out.

The research I did and the information I found on the Internet was a little bit exaggerated but we enjoyed exploring .We did have a nice hotel with great staff and the location was 5 or 7 minute walk down a bit of a run down street to the modern pedestrian street, similar to Plovdiv, just not as long but very nice and vibrant with lots of restaurants and shops. Thursday was our last day in Sofia and since Wednesday was the full day tour with an early start we had an easy morning. Left the hotel around 10 and wandered down to see the synagogue. 4 Leva each please. It was massive and quite ornate, glad we saw it. We found the ladies market in that same area.
