On Friday morning we said goodbye to my family at the train station. Then we experienced the most stressful worrying day yet. Our plane flew out of Milan airport at 12 and the gates shut at 11:30, our train was supposed to arrived at 7:50 which meant when we got to Milan we had 10 minutes to catch the next train to the airport and if we missed that one there was another one 30 minutes later but it would be pushing it to make our flight. So we had planned everything so we would make it. But then our first train was delayed... We didn't leave Parma until 8:25 which meant we had definitely missed the first connecting train and probably definitely missed the second connecting one to, so the whole train ride we were all thinking of different ways we get to Corfu in time for the cruise, we were all angry and annoyed by then. When the train stopped in Milan it was 9:48 and the connecting train had apparently left at 9:46 but we got of the train and sprinted with out suitcases and bags we got to the end and I just seen that our train was still there so I kept sprinting hoping the others were right behind me, halfway there the red light went on which meant the train was pulling out at that point I thought we had completely missed everything and no Greece but I didn't stop running and I made the train and I looked back to see where the others were and they were just behind me and they all got on just in time. Then we started to think we might make the plane. We got to the airport and were waiting for the bus to come. Thinking we only have 15 minutes to get there and be checked in. So still worrying we wouldn't make it so we decided to test my Italian and ask for a taxi. When we got to the airport there were no ques and everything became so much better. We checked in and a flow of relief came through us all and high fives all around as we walked through customs. So we made the plane and arrived in Corfu in time caught the shuttle to the port where we meet Ornella and the girls and got checked into the cruise and settled in and looked around. We are very very lucky being guests of the Captian so we get special treatment which is so cool. We got to look around all the boat including the bridge! we had dinner with Ornella, Ava, Mikayla and Leo (the Captian) and then went to the deck party and had cocktails and drinks and danced and talked. We had a late night but a great night!
