Got off to a late start this morning woke up to find that vail pass was closed. Ended up heading to highland and waiting with chris and Sarah until about 1030 to leave. Stopped at vail pass to let kalukie play in the snow, she loved it even with the snow being 5ft deep she was still running around digging a tunnel and peeking her nose out of the snow every few feet...well fun over we had to hit the road...ended up spending the next few hours looking for a Costco along the way. Well we ended up passing the one, and decided to keep pushing on to GJ. Chris said he wanted to get off and find a cheaper gas station he gets us off an exit 14 miles from GJ and gets us lost in a little town which I know doesn't make sense but we couldn't find a place big enough for chris with his trailer to turn around. We make it back to the interstate get to GJ drive deep into the heart of the town to a gas station he found on an iPhone app that's telling him diesel is $.13 cheaper than any gas station around. When we get there the station doesn't even sale diesel. He ends up spending even more at a gas station next door then if we went to a station off the interstate. lol Well we made it in to town after driving though a dust storm and running into tumble weeds the size of bears and VW bugs. Set up camp. Went to potato salad hill, a crazy rock formation, drunk and sober people alike try to conquer with there vehicles. Watched some drunk guys bust there rigs up and went into town to my favorite place, pasta j's to eat. Then I came back to camp looked at the stars, sat by the fire and came to the tent. Well it's starting to rain and kalukie is passed out already so I'm off to bed more to come tomorrow.
