Another perfect spring day in Paris - have just returned from exploring a little more of this delightful city. We walked down the Seine to visit the Eiffel Tower and on the way we got distracted at a local market…..what can we say - incredible seafood, cheeses, breads, fruits, vegetables, crepes, meats, foie gras, pastries, tarts, yoghurts and so it goes!!! Luckily we had a backpack which we filled up with chevre, lemons, bread rolls, foie gras, melon, mandarins, and custard tarts. Then we stopped for the most amazing crepes at a little stall which we washed down with an apple cider. It was fantastic!!
From there we headed to the Museum of Modern Art and the Eiffel Tower. We didn't go up the tower as the queues stretched for hundreds of metres and we had more exploring to do!! It is a magnificent piece of architecture and engineering - and so crowded with tourists and touts!
This is our last night in Paris - so we'll pop out to enjoy more local cuisines and get prepared for travelling to St Andrews, Scotland to meet up with our beautiful Colin and Juli for a few days.

scott/dale fireplans a must in any country - who would have thought that one of Rachel's beauty regimes does infact involve a hair dryer - but then again being straight does take extra effort.......wish we were there for the confit of duck. xxx
aveline Aaaagh - the travel bug is biting reading your wonderful descriptions of Singapore and this much loved city. I should be dealing with work emails, of course, but the lure of following you (virtually) around the world is too great!:-) Sounds like you're having a terrific time. Look forward to the next blog entries! With love from everyone on the Mezzanine, A.
Theresa Reading your descriptions and seeing the fabulous photos- makes me feel as though I am there. I can ALMOST taste the food, if salivating counts! Looking forward to more....
