Today we set out from our port to Antigua. As our bus began we were told of an erruption of Fuego Volcan "fire volcano". We proceeded to Antigua passing the volcano that continued to errupt setting off red billowing smoke. Very impressive! We arrived in Antigua and visited the Central Park and Government Palace. Today our ship stopped at the small port of Corinto. We chose a tour to the Cortijo El Rosario Estate and Equestrian Show. It is a 300 year old estate famous throughout Central America for the Pure Breed Spaniard & Lusianian horses. They were unbelievably impressive as the trainers had them perform. We arrived in Costa Rica today and enjoyed the day at the Pura Vida gardens. Rated the number one garden in Central America. It has the natural beauty of Costa Rica with spectacular flora, fauna, waterfalls and views of the Pacific. We spent our day in Cartegena, Columbia. It is on the northern coast of Columbia often called the pearl if the Caribbean. It is a colonial walled city, and the fortress Castillo San Felipe de Barajas sits perched atop the San Lazaro Hill where it once protected the city from enemy attack. We arrived at our first port at Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. It is Holland America's own private island with powdery beaches and crystal clear sea. The beach was absolutely beautiful. We spent our time here having lunch and basking in the warm sun. Taking a walk on the beach was heavenly!
