This is my second time in langkawi and I can confidently call this place my backyard. A large island nestled away in the andaman sea just across the Thai border, Langkawi can occupy you for atleast a week. It is not too small to be accesible nor is too big to be distant. its about 428 sq km. One of the best things about langkawi are its roads. its a thrill zipping down the roads at 80 km an hr which is wat i did most of yesterday and today. i rented out a 150cc bike and just took off with a friend.we were stayin at the legendary gecko's with its 15 ringitt bunk beds!!heh heh , Oh and i climbed a 1200 metre mound yesterday!!!its called gunung raya and it is one of the highest mountains in langkawi.smewere midway i encountered a python which was lets just say a very "dark episode" i rather forget.after the very sweaty and leechy climb i cooled off at one of the many waterfalls at burau bay.oh man it was just brilliant. u can actually slide frm one pool to the next kinda reminded me of a hindi movie i saw as a kid whose name i cant remember.frm the waterfall we took off for datai bay,but unfortunately just as we were tryin to sneak into the private [property of datai resort a bleady guard caught us and very politely threw us out..!!the thing abt langkawi is how chilled out and laidback it si with a not acare abt the happenings of the nether world.well i gotto go now .my flight ot singapore leaves in like 2 hrs,tata
