Today was a relatively relaxing day as I have a action packed weekend planned. After breakfast I went to Soi Dethup which is a temple very high up on a mountain. On the night of 14/11/2007 a group of us went from the hostel to a "BBQ". Its where Thai people go out to eat, we were the only tourists and it wasnt exactly what i expected! It was like a massive hall like school dinners and through the middle of the hall you have uncooked food, vegetables etc and also cooked food, and you have variety of fruit and dessert. Yesterday in Bangkok we went to see the grand palace and Wat Pho. Then we took a taxi back to the hostel to pick up our luggage and say goodbye to our friends. We then took the 7.30pm train 2nd class to Chiang Mai. First impressions the train didnt look very good but at 9pm they converted the seats into beds and they were very comfortable so the 12 hour journey was not hard at all as i slept through most of it.
