After a stop off in Lusaka to stock up on booze (our group cleaned out the cheap vodka and the supermarket), we headed out to Lake Kariba where we were having 3 nights on a houseboat. Mark & I were the lucky couple to be drawn out of the hat for the penthouse suite so were stoked about that.

Lake Kariba is really nice it is a man made lake after they damed the Zambezi in the 70´s. We had lots of time to chill out in the sunshine reading books, playing cards, bit of fishing etc. And got to go on a couple of gamecruises, one along the shore to see some elephants and Topi, and one night one for a bit of croc spotting. Quite a few people, including Mark, went for a swim in the lake, but after seeing the crocodiles I chickened out.

We also had some fun nights drinking. One night we had a bad taste party, which was lots of fun.

Had a nice break away from the truck and the tents.
