So Kath, Lee and Sarah went to Mildura for the weekend...what else would three girls want to do on a stinking hot weekend in January? Sarah picked Lee up at about 6am...headed off to Kathy's and were on the way to mildura by 7:30..Arrived in Mildura at the Mildura Golf Resort, which had two pools and some groovy carpet and mirror tiles, SESKI! :P :) :D :+) ;-) ;=) SpeNT the day in the ppol - and thought we would start on a few drinks.. .. Had a BBQ, CHEF Sarah, did a fine job with Plastic Forks posing as Tongs. . . A few too many drinks later.. (they were so easy to drink in the 43 degree heat...) .. nap time before heading out. Headed out to the "SAND BAR" recommended by our taxi driver, SLIM JIM I think he said his name was? . The Sand Bar, was complete with MIST Hoses which were excellent and cooling, as well as a Bar Tender who asked if we were there for the 18th ! ( What a Compliment! haha). Now what to drink on the Victorian Beer Taps. . . . . . . After a Tooheys New it was time to check somewhere else out. Next Stop. O'Malleys. O'Malleys, serve d Frozen Cocktails. As the Scottish bar tender explained to Pommy Sophie, there was a choice of "pin, apple - cola - raspberry or lime". Cover Band came on...very good band, everyone was dancing, Sah got asked if it hurt? With a confused look, some local Mildura boy explained..that it must have hurt, falling from Heaven.... Now I don't know if all the boys in Mildura are like that, but were'nt those lines around in the 80's? Get with the times Mildura. No one liked those lines in the 80's., never mind 20 Years later...! :P Time to head to another place, wait in a line, check out the place that brews their own beer, Kath and Sah to get a Yiros, Kebab, Yiros...watever, from some Greek Place, and head on back to the room. Next time, definetly need to spend some more time relazing and sleeping, so we aren't spent before heading out for a night on the 'town'.
