Sevilla was beautiful town...so quaint and full of culture...I loved it! We saw some amazing places there..the cathedral was huge! one of the biggest in the world, and the palace architecture was so intricate and beautiful, and the gardens were breathtaking! We got to enjoy some bits of culture...we went to a Flamenco show and saw some traditional dancing and stuff which was pretty cool....had some Chocolate and Churros (which are to die for! So good!!) and it was just overall a really cool place...
Then we headed to Granada for a couple days which was interesting...being so far south it had a lot of Moroccan influence...and lots of hippie-type people. They were having a medieval festival during that time which was pretty cool...merchant's booths everywhere! And Columbus day happened when were were there...surprisingly enough, it's a much bigger deal over there than it is in the US, Columbus brought a lot of wealth, etc, to Spain, so he is highly revered. We also saw the Alhambra, which is an incredibly old fortress that has some astounding Islamic architecture...it was so beautiful!
Our final night together was really fun...Our professors took us out to eat, and we all had to share a story of something from the trip...it was such a fun time hanging out and laughing about all the crazy times we had shared up to that point....it was pretty great :)
