So our first week off...quite an adventure! goin out on our own into the vast world of Europe...so much confidence gained, and experiences to be remembered....and lessons to be learned from...like...not to let guys pick places to stay in Amsterdam. We took a train from Denmark to the Netherlands (yes...a train...over a body of water. How is it possible..? Apparently some ferries come equipped to house small trains...crazy eh??) and we arrived in Amsterdam to disc...

So Copenhagen....my favorite of the Scandinavian cities by far...I enjoyed the people and the atmosphere greatly. It was very diverse, lots of interesting people, and lots of diverse architecture. It was becoming apparent by this time that in countries that are not nearly as democratic as our dear US of A there seems to be a greater degree of diversification of architecture...buildings are not only more innovative and "crazy" but there are more of them ...

Well...seeing as how these blog entries are so few and far between, I believe I will have to skip my description of Romania for now and move on to some of my experiences in Scandinavia, sticking mainly to the highlights... Helsinki Finland was a very interesting place...I did not realize how incredibly close it is to Russia, and how relatively new it was compared to many other parts of Europe. The architecture there was really amazing I thought. The newer stuff...
