Laundry was the order of the day today, but we saw an ad that said they would do it for you, for the same price as doing it yourself (later we were to find out that it was 24 euros), so that freed up our day.At a loss as to what to do, we wandered through the city centre and found a rental place where we hired a 150cc quad bike for only 20 euros. Armed with this and a complimentary map, we set out to the monastery at the highest point of the island, where we had a few photo opportunities with the land spread out before us, and we could see the items produced by the monks there. We stopped for brunch in Pyrgos before returning to Fira to pick up some more layers of clothing. On the bi8ke, we saw almost all of the island - stopping at Akrotiri and the Red Beach in the south, passing through Kamari and deciding against the steep road to Ancient Thira in the east, passing through Messaria in the middle, and revisiting Oia in the north (a harrowing wind-swept ride there and back). For dinner, we tried a different restaurant again (after all, you have to try different places on holiday!) and called it a day at about 8:30pm, since we were catching the first flight out of Santorini the next morning.
