We spent five nights from the 22nd December until the 27th December in Patong, Phuket. It was as seedy as Pattaya at times, there was definitely no tuk-tuk rides because they wanted to charge at least an arm and a leg for the shortest of journeys and if it was long distance you netter get on the streets with the girls, but saying that we enjoyed it. So it is the 10th January now and it is our last day in Thailand before we head through to Malaysia tomorrow. After having a chilled out Christmas and New Year, we upped the tempo again and headed to Koh Tao to learn to become Open Water divers. It took just 3 hours from Chiang Mai to Pai. The only problem there is, this mountainous road has 762 curves and the Thai drivers aren't exactly the slowest or most cautious, so by the time we arrived we were a little green. That soon settled though when we looked around and absorbed the beauty of the place we had just arrived in.
