So, ive finally found some internet that is remotely decent and uploaded my lastest pics AND only just found all your lovely messages..Thank you! well the last week has seen me travel a few thousand kilometres and thankfully it is less humid down here in Byron Bay and my hair is only just about manageable now ( it was resembling Monica in Friends when she is in Barbados further up the coast) Well i left Airlie beach, and on the way have been in Hervey Bay, Fraser Island, Brisbane and now Byron bay (my fav place so far) and met so many people from all over the world! There has been a few hairy moments...1 that comes to mind is walking back from the lighthouse in Byron Bay with helene and Ashton through the rainforest trail and it gets dark, no torch and lots of potentially scary animals. Blair witch project came to mind...i actually thought i was never going to get out the bush! the weather had been great, with only a few rain storms which mostly pass! Fraser island was a lot of fun, especially when the 4x4 got a flat tyre..lol! Brisbane was a nice change from the touristy beach towns i have been to so far..lots of potential for shopping and i found Australias own Primark 'Supre'..i love it! Byron has been my favourite place so far, maybe because it started off so well...i met Helene on the bus and we checked in and headed to the beach bar...1 bottle of wine later we are back at the hostel with our supernoodles drinking random cocktails with some french and danish boys...it carried on from them!
I am just wasting a few hours before i get on the dreaded nightbus again to sydney..quite excited about it and seeing Steve, perhaps for a bit of rest and recoup...i swear my backpack gets heavier each time i pick it up...hardcore! coping with living out of a rucksack, although at the moment just pick out whatever is on top..dont think half my clothes have seen the light yet!
