Right, so we actually arrived in Melbourne 'Australia' on the 26th of Feb, after a beast of a flight via Hong Kong (where we spent a few hours having a social beer or 2 in transit!)

We stayed in St Kilda for the first 8 nights and managed to go out a fair bit - just to get our barings mind!

Did the Great Ocean Rd as a day trip with a random selection of people on the bus, including some guy from Brisbane who didn't have a camera (well he did have one but it wasn't digital and only took black and white photos!) and didn't know what an ipod was.............man, I knew aussie's were a bit behind the times but really! However, back to the trip, we saw Bells Beach (home to the very famous Rip Curl Pro Surf Comp for those of you who aren't in the inner surf circle as I am now!) and went in a helicopter over the 12 apostels which was pretty amazing. Obviously there were many other sights but not going to bore you with discriptions of rocks as you really had to be there.

Moved into Melbourne City for another 8 nights before we got the oz bus to Sydney. Our main reasons were to attend the neighbours night and vist the MGC. One out of two isn't bad........neighbours night we got to, however out great plan to do the MGC tour was spoilt not by our lack of planning but the MGC it's self - they happened to be shut for cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did go up the Melbourne Skydeck - the tallest building in the Southen Hemisphere i'll have you know. Went up at night though so really didn't get the best view (that was down to lack of planning!), did get a free trip on the edge - a crazy box that went out 30m from the top of the building and then the floor became see through, that was pretty cool (we also got to were some funky blue bags on our feet!)
