Mom Hi Rachel, Yup, Maimonides was a doctor too. Moshe ben Maimon (March 30, 1135?December 13, 1204) was a Jewish rabbi, physician, and philosopher. Moses Maimonides (greek version of his name) was refered by the acronym of his title and name, RaMBaM or Rambam. That was my recollection too. Maimonides was born in 1135 in C?rdoba, Spain, which is why you ran into him this week-end. There is a hospital in New York named Maimonides for him. I don't know much of his medical practice but he wrote medical texts. Maimonides also composed the Mishneh Torah which tells us all about how we should run our lives by Jewish Law. You probably learned about that in Hebrew School. I'm baking some goodies for you right now and I'll get them in the mail tomorrow. Love, MOM
