Hey everyone sorry its late but here's my blog on my short stay in Bangkok,
We got here by train from Malaysia, we had a 29 hour journey to get there we got a ferry from langkawi to kula kudah then a taxi to alor setah train station which was like cabins and nothing around, where we had to wait 4 hours for the train as it was 2 hours late to arrive, the train was so much comfortable and it felt good to be on it in the air con after an already long journey, we got on it and a couple of hours later we arrived over the thai border where we had to get off the train quick to through Malaysia customs to get stamped to say we had exited the country and then through thai customs to get our visa stamped to enter, they then served dinner and put our chairs into sleeper beds where I was on the top bunk and dave on the bottom, the bottom bunk was really spacious and in the morning we got them to not put it back into chairs so we could lay in bed for a while and after the 18 hour journey and the best night sleep I had, had in a long time we arrived in Bangkok at the station, we then went and got money out where I lost my Bank card as the ATM gives you the money first and then your card which I'm not used to so walked off and the machine swallowed it.
We then got on the underground and sky train to our hotel where we stayed for 3 days, we stayed just off sukhumvit , the first night we went to emporium got a vietmenese pho and some chocolate and snacks and went and got in bed with snacks and watched a film, day 2 we just relaxed had a walk round and met daves friend chris his dad and his gf Laurianne and chris's dad took us for beers and a really nice meal where we got a massive platter of starters, rice in a pineapple thai green curry x2 and a big sea bass it was the best food we had had in days because we can't afford to eat like that it was all payed for by his dad bless him such a nice gesture, after that me chris and dave went out sat on a street bar that was a campervan serving drinks and had a good night and was talking to random people.
The next day dave was hungover in bed so I went out and got us lunch and we chilled out and then went to the cinema that night and watched gi joe and had a meal at billion beef where we went last time we were in thailand and was so excited to go back there.
The next day we checked out met chris and went and booked our tickets at the train station to go to koh phi phi for my birthday and then got a taxi to koh San road to our hotel for the night where is all the backpackers stay where we went out drank beers and buckets and then in the morning where we went to airport to get a flight to chiang mai where Charlotte lives for thai new year and the songkran water fights I will update you from there.
