Back in Bangalore. The bus from Pondicherry was delayed by two hours because of a boulder in the road. It as about 3am when we stopped abruptly and about 20 men tried to move it aside. When, after 2 hours of pushing, this failed, the bus driver put on his thinking cap and decided to go around it. Around it! Genius. Been in Bangalore almost a week and we like it SO much more than Delhi. It is quite cosmopolitan with lots of nice bars and restaurants, and street shopping as well as labels. We're hitting the shops after work, and are going to treat ourselves to some western food - think our stomachs need it.
