After another night train finally get out of china n land in vietnam!! thank god!! pretty tight controls at the border n we actually thought we were getting arrested...the wee chinese passport men did not look amused...so wanted to take a pic n start coughing n sneezing just for the banter!! ha!! after being bumped by our taxi we get to the hostel (which is ace) n crash out!! first day was nuthin too adventurous...just took a dilly dally about n got roasted a...

Tour number 1 - Halong Bay... oh my gosh!!!!!!!!! place actually takes your breath away!! after a slightly stormy start the weather cleared up nicely as we had the best munch ever on the boat and set sail around the bay!! the wee villages r soo cool...completely in the water!! first stop - floating fish farm!! thank god i never fell in!!!! second stop - big huge limestone caves - pretty cool stalactites n stalagmites which fuse to form pillars...hahaha...a ...

so...after managing to successfully get the Metro to Shenzen n meeting the frenchie it was time to board the train to Guangzhou to meet Erika.... should be easy ae......... hahahahaha!!!! after gettin the ticket (which is near impossible if you aint chinese coz they speak no english) i really needed a pee...got into the cubicle n could see no toilet...only a big hole!!!
