Wake up at about 8 and just laze around doing nothing until about 11am! Get up and go out for breakfast at a little place overlooking the river and towards the mountains, on cushion tables raised from the floor.

Rikka and I book our bus to the 4000 Islands which leaves tomorrow and costs 230,000kip. Go get our tubes for a day of tubing and take a Tuk Tuk up to the first bar. Play volley ball with some girls and spend about an hour around here before getting in the river to float down to the first bar In the sun. To stop you floating away men throw plastic water bottles at you which are attached to string which you can grab onto to be pulled in.

At the next bar there are thousands of butterflies, maybe I could get over them but hey keep landing on ME! Arghhh! There's one basketball hoop which squirts water so we go to throw the ball in and dance (or attempt to...) to cheesy 90s music.

Meet Gilly & Al from London, Al will be going to study medicine as his second degree in September at Kings and Gilly has just graduated from the University of Oxford studying Spanish & Russian! They're both really nice.

After about an hour or so we head down to the last bar (a few years ago there used to be 100s of bars, but the majority were shut down as there were too many deaths will too many drinking excessively and then zip-wiring into the river). The final bar isn't as good so we just grab one beer to take with us on he trip to the end of tubing.

It starts to hammer down with rain for our 40 minute ride down the river, so much fun! Order a pancake at the end of tubing which was really tasty, hen drop our tubes off for our deposit (not all of the deposit though as it's after 6pm).

Go back to the room for a quick shower and hen André and Thiago bang their music into our room. I still feel yuck so don't drink. Go out to Gary's Irish bar and get a cheese toastie, yum. But then I head home for an early night. Chat to Aaron on Facebook and hen find loads of ants in the room :( so now I can't sleep!

Don't get in bed to sleep until about 1am as had to go downstairs to speak to the receptionist man to find out why the water had stopped, twice!

Wake up every hour to see if Rikka had got back yet...
