"Everyone strapped in tight..."
From Florence I made my way over to Pisa! Only for the night just so I could see that poorly built tower and get my photo of it. Even the manager at the B&B said there wasn't much else to do. So that's really about all I did. I met up with Jill again late in the afternoon walked over and you cant miss it. Leaning tower of Pisa, tick. I spent the rest of my time in the city eating, again more pizza and gelato. There's so many flavours to try.
After all that bingeing on tasty badness we headed for the Cinque Terre and a real chance to reverse some of the damage done by constant feeding. The Cinque Terre is five towns (as the name suggests) all next to each other along the coast with epic hiking trails between them. It's about 6hrs end to end. Closest thing to a work out i've done in months. With that in mind the hike was rather tough. Especially when the track for towns 2-3 was closed and you had to go the long way over the mountain. Still worth every tiring, sweaty and hot step. Some of the views are just unbelievable. We had 3 days relaxing there so we hiked two, fitted in some rock jumping and of course more epic Italian food.
We left via Florence again to head for Oktoberfest. Night train sleeper all the way. Shouldn't be to bad right?
