Monday : Sunny then Rain
We had a decent sleep and breakfast today, last one on the road so we finished off most of the food. We were on the road pretty late today but arrived at Sherwood Forest before midday.
We somehow timed another event. There was a Robbin Hood Festival on today at the park. So parking was a little difficult to find but we thought that this could be fun. It was alright, and it was good to see loads of people getting involved with the free event. A little creepy were the very keen older dudes who weren't volunteers dressed up as Mr hood. They were almost as keen as Kim wanting a Hog Roll. It did taste great, not much beats pig on a spit.
We had a good walk around the park visiting all the festival areas that were spread throughout the forest. On the way back to the car we came across the church where Robin and Maid Marian got hitched. There was another spooky graveyard surrounding the church so we went for a quick walk through. Then it was straight to London, but the closer we got the more the traffic increased and the weather worsened.
We were staying with some friends in Battersea tonight, so to fill in some time before they got home we went to TKmax in Kew. Kim picked up some new headphones for the future flights, trains and hostels.
We had such a great time at Andy and Anna's place, talking and meeting some new friends. Thanks for the Burritos and convos Guys!
