Wednesday : fine
Finally got a sleep in today, we have no tour and no plans. We went and got breaky around 9am then went back to the room and watched a movie.
Checkout time came around, so we packed up and put our bags into the hotel storage.
Still no wifi today, so we left the hotel and went out onto the busy streets looking for a chemist, I'm in need for some more cough medicine.
On the way back to the hotel we stopped off at a restaurant and had some food and drinks. We also had a talk about how we're going to prepare ourselves, once we hop off the train tomorrow with no hotel booked.
The taxi drivers here want to see proof that you have reserved a room, they are that nosey, although Darjeeling is suppose to be different. It's seems to be harder here in India to find a decent restaurant and hotel than anywhere else. Vietnam was the easiest, if we turned up to a hotel there and it was fully booked, that hotel knew another hotel that wasn't, and the other hotel would come pick us up. The taxi drivers would take you anywhere too, no questions asked, once you sort out the price ofcourse.
We were at the restaurant for awhile reading and talking, then went back to the hotel and lazed about by the pool to do some more of the same. We made a phone call to a Darjeeling hotel to reserve a room before and good last dinner at a great hotel.
After dinner we took a taxi to the train station, and this time the taxi driver was friendly. We had a good hour long chat about more things that happen here in Varanasi.
Once at the station we chose a random quiet platform to wait at because our train was not up on the board again. Strange to we only had two hours before our train was scheduled to arrive. Half an hour before the train we decided to go have a look at the board again, and it still wasn't up. We then saw a sign to the help booth, the man said our train is either coming on platform one or two.
India trains are whacked, but our train arrived on time. We found our bed, and it was going to be a long night. There was a fella pushing out the z's like no tomorrow.
