Hello hello..

The last 3 days have been crazy... So on Tuesday (8th) we spent the day at school with the kids teaching w, v, Ch, Th, R, L and most of the alphabet sounds.. quite a laugh seeing the hilarious expressions on the kids faces watching them trying to pronounce Thhh. Priceless.

After school we packed our bags and showed and prepared ourselves for the school field trip to a province that was assumed to be 6 hrs away. At 7:30pm all the M 3 class and the majority of the teaches met at school to board the big ass bus. Instead of a quiet movie and a snooze.. the 6 hr bus ride turned into a 10 hr trip jam packed with thai karaoke through the entire trip. Leo (beer) and Hing thong (whisky) were shared amoung the teachers and what we thought was meant to be a quiet trip was literal a ranging disco. I escalated to the floor as the middle of the seat was extremely uncomfortable. Wow. Finally we arrived to our home for the next 2 nights at an army base in Ubon Ratchthani.

So this trip was full of first for both Rikki and I.. LEt me mention as many as i can think of.

First time we:

*stayed at an airforce base camp

* ate grasshoppers

* wore jeans in 40 degree temps

* showered in toilet juices

* slept in a mass room decked out with mozzie nets

* watched teachers drinks whisky and beer at 8am in the morning

* have been asked to take a photo for a temple to atract farangs

* tryed to order water with no one understanding, even when you talk in thai

* fed massive cat fish

* were in 10,000 photos in 10 minutes

* watched pornographic karaoke in front of student (apparently its art)

* laughed without managing to crack the cold sore lip (yipeee)

All in all... quick summery of a fun/life-changing experence.
