Another jammed packed day in Rome. A guided your of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum- our guide Francesca told us lots of interesting facts about both sites. Then lunch and a visit to the Pantheon- which is now used as a church. What a building! Oh, we also managed to include some shopping! Unfortunately when we got to the Trevi Fountain, it was closed for restoration, but we still got to throw a coin in a made up smaller version. We told everyone it meant we wo...

We set off from Sorrento on our way to Rome. We had a very special stop over first to a place close to us all- the birth place of our founder Thomas Aquinas. He was actually born in Roccasecca, so we visited there first, seeing his original home and church- what a trek that was! But a very beautiful and worthwhile stop. Then we travelled to the next town of Aquino to see the new and modern church that was built for him and we were blessed to meet the parish pries...

Well, everyone has said that today has been THE BEST! A ferry trip into Capri, a boat ride around the island of Capri and to top it off, a canoe ride in the Blue Grotto.... Magical. Then lunch and shopping in the most exclusive island in Italy... which continued in Sorrento. An exhilarating yet relaxing day. Tomorrow- Aquino/Roccasecca and Rome. Thank you Jesus for your protection

Today was full of History....Ancient History. First a visit to the Archeologico Museo Nazionale di Napoli. Apart from seeing lots of amazing artefacts from Pompei, we saw how our bus driver navigates the Naples traffic! We had a lovely lunch in a pizzeria in Herculaneum after the tour and another very interesting visit to Pompei. A yummy dinner awaited us in the hotel. We are all so full and tired from all the carbs and walking! TOMORROW CAPRI!!!!!
