Off we go! 23 hours 45 mins of travel time to our first destination...Singapore!
Airport checkin and TSA was surprisingly smooth, no bags overweight and no BS from security.
The first leg of the flight is 13 hours to Tokyo. We're sitting 5 across, 3 on 1 side and aisle/middle in the center section. Decidedly United Airlines is terrible, no reason to continue being loyal or to fly with them other than out of necessity.
Maxim does good for the first 7 hours of the flight, but he's antsy and ready to move around for the last 6, so instead, daddy gets to pace the aisles holding him while the entire plane sleeps, in order to keep him from screaming and waking the whole plane. Just as soon as I think I have him to sleep and I retake my seat, boom! He goes off like clock work!
The Tokyo airport is dated and compact (small hallways, small everything), and very busy. The preferred club is a bust, so we leave soon after washing bottles and changing clothes. But along the way to our departure gate, we stumble across a Japanese craft making experience, complete with a whole gaggle of ladies wearing kimonos. Both girls are able to make their own traditional Japanese flower craft to take home as a keepsake! Super neat experience!
This next leg of flight is with ANA and it's a totally better experience...in everyday, including the plane not being anywhere close to full (like zero middle seats were taken in the last 20 rows, all 3 sections wide. So needless to say, the entire family got to stretch out flat and get some good rest before arriving in Singapore at 11:40p.
Taxi to the hotel, arriving after 1a...beat dog tired and travel dirty. Asleep before our heads hit the pillow.
