Hi guys

Have been in Brisbane for just the one night and from what I have seen so far, I like it very much. I didn't expect much because it's usually only a stopover in between destinations for most people but it actually has a lot to offer. It's very cosmopolitan, decent bars and cafes and the sun is shining.

Unfortunately I can't take advantage of any of it because I have no money! I am using my last $20 to get the train to Coolangatta, on the gold coast where I am flying to KL and I am going to have to sleep in the airport. I have never, ever been so skint. And I am living on cereal, one bowl a day ha ha ha! With a bit of luck I might able to lose this spare tyre I have acquired since being in Australia and still fit into my bridesmaid dress which was too big for me when I left home! I was less than impressed with this fact when I left but Mum and Mel, you were right, It was very likely and inevitable that I would put on weight.

I am happy to be coming home but also very upset. I have made some really good friends here and have gotten very used to this lifestyle over the last 5 months. When I left Shell and Nicki, I was in tears. It takes a lot to make me cry.

We had an amazing time on the road from Bundy to Cairns. I was do full write-ups when I have more time and some money! Fortunately some guys gave me free internet vouchers when I arrived here, what a touch! I was also offered a dinner date by some man who stopped me on the street ha ha ha! Let me make it clear that I was out on the piss in Cairns on Saturday night, missed my shuttle bus to the airport because I was so wasted that I got lost on the way home, had no sleep whatsoever and by the time I arrived in Brisbane was well in need of a good shower! Oh and I forgot to pack my make-up bag aaaaahhhhhhh! It's a bloody good job that I've gotten used to not wearing it very much, but still, I look like s***!

I'm catching a free bus from the hostel to the transit centre where I can catch my train in about 10 minutes. If anyone is bored, feel free to ring me because I have no credit and am feeling very, very sorry for myself.
