We are hanging out at Tutukaka this weekend - beautiful and warm. Although we had to get up at 3:30 this morning to watch the All Blacks play England - 30 to 22 for the All Blacks - everyone happy around here!
Apparently becoming less flexible as I get older! Looking for a place on the beach on the Coromandel at either Cooks Beach or Huh (close to Whitianga). We could spend a couple of days making sand castles or going to hot water beach.

Oi, ged in ye moite. We're in Queens Town hanging with the ski bums and bungie stoners. Getting warmer as we head north. Have you settled on a rendezvous vouz or are you still being flexible?

Well ----- I'm pretty sure I could't pick a snowy owl from a short-eared owl in a line-up. But we were in search of the endangered NZ Fairy Tern which were nesting across the estuary. Of course, the beautiful weather and 10 miles of white sand beach helped intensify my interest in the birds!

Never you were into birds! Truly a renaissance man Mr. Rick.

No mail yet - we'll let you know when it comes.
We'll book a bach - when do you arrive on the 26th? Not sure it will beat this place we are in tonite though - wow! Looking out on an estuary with dozens of birds right now.

Sounds like you are having a great time on the South Island. I don't think we are going to make it there (probably have to wait until we do a bike tour of the island before I get to see it!). We just finished two days visiting with Steve, Deb and Emma (the Wilsons) and now we are heading north. Donna and I are staying in Waipu tonite in a bird sanctuary and then we are going to Whangerei this weekend with the Wilsons and have a place on the beach booked. We'll spend the next week working our way south (likely to Napier because we love that city) and then back to Auckland around the 25th. We would like to book a 3 or 4 bedroom bach for us for Nov 26-28 if you are okay with that - somewhere on a beach. We were thinking either bay of Islands or Coromandel. Do you want to leave it in our hands?

Hey there, missing you guys as we get geared up to rejoin the ski club! Was timely to read your blog tonight and remember that even at home it's worth the time to stop and live in the moment - easy to forget some days :)
Thank you and hope you continue to stop and enjoy your every moments most days!
