Its Fiona this time! So after franz josef, we headed down to wanaka for a day (a mini version of queenstown). Really cool place, skiing looked amazing, would have loved to stay longer. Well we did it and are alive to tell the tale!!!! 6hrs trekking on the glacier an hour to the terminal face (how cool do we sound) and an hour back then 6 hrs climbing on the ice cube. It was wicked, good workout for the thighs and bum and i need it at the mo! we climbed through holes in the ice, went through crevases that literally just fit us through one at a time sideways on!!!!, even caught the sun on our faces=bonus!
