Well what a cold few days! I tell a lie, the elephant sanctuary and the giraffe park weren't cold in Kenya, but passing into Tanzania for the Ngorongoro Crater campsite brought back memories of ice-cold nights on D of E! After a warm day in our 4x4 watching elephants, rhino (in the distance), and a few other mammals, we retreated into our cold crater campsite where the only warmth came from the campfire and our multitude of layers! I slept in my t-shirt, hoody, waterproof jacket, and beanie that night and was still chilly! The thought of the bush pig getting into the tent made it a little interesting too - my toothpaste was firmly locked away in the 4x4!
