Staying in the national park tonight, no toilets and baboons surrounding our tents! We all had to pitch our tents in a semi-circle around the truck just in case a speedy escape was needed in the middle of the night.

Dropped into Nakuru to pick up supplies, had the worst cup of tea ever! The milk kept on forming a skin, and the teaspoon was dirty... clean by the time it had stirred the tea though. Yum. Stocked up on some ham as the monkey decided to steal my bread from the truck... not for the last time I imagine!

Great first game drive: saw giraffes, zebras, gazelles, impala, and a rhino! The rhino just wandered past the truck. Then we were lucky enough to see a pride of lions just snoozing upon a rock, unfortunately that's when my luck ran out and the camera died! I suppose it hadn't been charged since Saturday, but my gosh, talk about timing! At least it gave me chance to try out the cigarette lighter charger (which nobody else had bothered to bring, I might add!) ... but then that didn't work and VJ had to play around with the cigarette lighter. Fortunately it was the lighter that wasn't working rather than my charger, so my camera is now charged and all is right with the world!

This was the night we had the squatting toilets: the toilets that gave me nightmares! Throughout the night I kept thinking about what would happen if you slipped and fell down the gap and then had to wait in the literal s***hole until someone could get you out.... oh the horror!
