Today I went out to the races at Mooney Ponds.Uncle Syd picked me up at 10am and it was puring with rain.We drove out to the race track and had a look at the horses.We both put bets on in the second race and Uncle Syd and I (well mostly Uncle Syd) picked a winner and I won $85, that's the most I've ever won gambling.The horses name was Zubbyia, own by some Arab Sheikh, trust my luck.

In the 6th race I wanted to put a bet on a horse called Snow Alert, I went to watch the race and found out I had been given the wrong ticket by the bookie.I had been given a ticket with a $2000 bet on it!If the horse had won, I would have won $24K.That was interesting.

We hung around until the 8th race, which was the Cox Place, in which the favourite and favourite for this years Melbourne Cup "So You Think" won the race.

Uncle Syd and I then left Mooney Ponds and went back to his house, where Aunty Wendy had cooked us a nice vegan meal.I was quite cold and I slept with an electric blanket on, it was the best nights sleep I'd had in ages.
