Bonza! We're on a role with the blogs now, so watch out!!
So David, Pauline, Lynne and Nannie left us in Sydney, they did leave us their spare change though that came in handy paying for the ferry to manly! Here we were going to spend a few days relaxing on the beach and soaking up the sun. And we did exactly that, as well as exploring what manly and other neighbouring suburbs had to offer. Unfortunately we were back to reality, fending for ourselves again after being treated for the past 25 days. Back to hostels, back to budget food and back to being a backpacker. At least we were staying only 50m from the amazing Manly surf beach and could escape here for hours on end, just sitting around watching the surfers (Rhi was probably just checking them out) and enjoying the lifestyle. I really wanted to have a go at surfing, I had done it before but it was years and years ago and the waves were nothing like they had in Oz. So I booked myself in for a lesson, I tried to persuade Rhi to have a go but she was happy enough sunbathing on the beach. The lesson went really well, there were about 10 of us there and I think the majority were standing up, surfing by the end of the lesson. Luckily I was one of these who managed to stand up, it was so good. Rhi managed to take a photo of me standing too, so it will definitely be in the photo album. We both love Manly, its a small town with a lot going on and a wicked beach front.
