Well i'v arrived at Koh Tao and it is amazing although did have a bit of journey to get here.
After saying goodbye to charlie and co i got a taxi to the train station in the center of bangkok only to find i was 3 hours early. So had a nice lunch at a near by cafe, left a generous tip of 20% (7p) and got on the train. The train ride itself was great; meet a nice Thai woman oppisite me who recomended a fewe places, had a nice dinner and beer and saw the passing scenery. Only problem was getting off as i had no idea when i had to, fortunatly the train conductor told me 10mins before i had to get off so left in a bit of a hurry.
Once at Chumphon (where i got off the train) there was someone telling everyone about their guest house so i stayed there for the night and got my boat ticket included. In the morning i got the 3 hour boat, to Koh Tao, which went by very quickly, but got a bit sunburnt.
Arriving at Koh Tao i found the nearest internet cafe to look at the kind messages people left on this site and where to meet charlie. After a quick snooze and swim on the beach i met with Charlie, Chris and Di and went for a nice meal in town (which i got to drive to in Chris and Di's hired 4x4!)
The plan for the next few days is for Charlie and i to move accomodation to somewhere nicer and to do a diving course to get our PADI certificates, its quite expensive at about 120 quid but its a great opportunity.
All in all having a great time and will update again once i'v done all the diving.
