Aola Amigos.
Well!!!!!! this has been an adventful week. I believe nick had done a very rubbish blog up to and including the Worlds Most Dangerous road so i have so much to tell you i will start after the dangerous road although it was amazing.
After La Paz we headed on a very bumpy night bus too Uyuni which is were the very famous salt planes and absolutely awesome landscape are. We arrived there tuesday morning with a very saw ars. we then went about that day booking a three day trek to the Salar (salt plane). on the wednesday we left at 10.30 in the morning and headed to the Salt planes were we spent the morning and had lunch which at this point was really good (llama) at theses very strange cactus islands.
At this point i will introduced the tour guides and cook if you can call them that Pingu and the HOfff yes it was that wierd. If anyone doesnt know who they were i apoligise but i dont have time to explain.
we then headed to some mummy mueseum but we hadnt had chance to take the funny photos on the salar which is what we alll wanted so we then had a argument with the Hoff (driver) if we could stop he ranted in spanish and adventually gave us an hour. we were not allowed then to go to the mummy museum because he said so which was very rude. this was the point we realised it was going to be one of those trips.
That night we stayed in a shack of a mud hut and got to know the Israeli guys we where with and they were ace such a good laugh. For tea that night tho we got slops yes slops it was disgusting but being the polite young men we are we said mmmmmmm muis buenos (very good). This is when we realised pingu was pingu because she talked in grunts and not spanish.
So at this point we were getting a little pieved (grown ups you know what that means). :)
we tried to make conversation with the hoff and oingu but there were not interested apart from telling us how long we had and beeping the horn wen time was up.
We visited some awesome places on the second day tho with the green lagoonsand saw flamingos and the red mist lake of the national park were the Hofff just drove off un us without saying anything so we made r own way to the camp.
that night we had had enough with dinner coming and it being disgusting again they asked us if it was nice and me beng me went errrrrrrr NO! well this caused all sort of friction the driver then came in and started ranting i went off on one say it was all "ruubish" and they had made no effort and it was quite amusing having an argument with my limited spanish and his no english it invovled alot of hand gestures. :) Well finally a guy from another group cam over to sort it out and translate and apparently the driver said he was goin to leave there in the middle of no where (very mature we thought).
Ne way the next day was tense to say the leats altho he did take us home. also tha day we got up at four to c the most amazing geaza's and hot spring and mirages.
altho it all sounds rubbish this was one of the most amazing trips because of the places we went, it is like nothing you would think is on earth.
We are now in Potosi and going to the silver mines tomoro which should be really good. We are having a littel trouble up loading photos at the moment because everywhere is slow and we dont have time to waist but i promise we are trying they might just come in a funny order.
Hope all is well with everyone.
Lots of Love Phil and Nick
