Hey Welshers!!
Not sure if you got my email but if not a brief update...the deed has been done and I verbally handed my notice in at work tonight. Quite scary stuff really but excited at the same time. Will miss my kids and friends there, but its all in the name of a better life!! Dave has already started to look at houses for us on the internet and has a job interview in Manchester tomorrow. Fingers crossed for him. We are dying to decorate as we want and keep watching sad housey programmes!! Might even have a quick stint at city apartment living before the patter of tiny feet need gardens to play in....no not yet!! Got Si down this weekend which will be cool and dragging him out with the girls on Sat night!! Enjoy your weekend of fiesta-ing!! Love you lots, Weffs XXX

Hi there Philippa, I bet you're dying to see Don and Helen next week. Had an email from your mam last night to say they're hoping that all your stuff can fit into the cat....or even the car!!! (My typing skills are still pretty poor as you can see.)) We've had a bad couple of days as my mam had another mini stroke on Sun night and fell very heavily....she has terrible bruising around her eyes and nose, along with carpet burns around her face. She's been quite poorly but was able to be bathed by a nurse this morning so it looks as if she's feeling stronger....results of her scan haven't come back yet, we may get them tomorrow. Hasn't Archie done well recovering from his operation? It seems as if that generation were born tough little people!!! So hoping that you're over the worst of the boil attack...it sounded pretty dire. Enjoy your time with your mam and dad and make sure that they take plenty of photos. much love Margaret xxxxx

Eh-oh Auntie Phil. Daddy told me to drop you a line to tell you that your Grandad is blatantly not the only person who reads your postcards - you are far and away the most popular person on Off Exploring with a huge 10-15 people visiting your site every day! Glad you're having fun, can't wait to meet you, Love from Erin Charlotte Ace xx

Hi Phil
Sounds like you have had a nice weekend in spite of the BOIL. Glad it seems to be better anyway. It is much colder here too, had to wear scarves and gloves to the rugby today. I was hoping to hear from you over the weekend, I need to know just how cold it will be when we come out to see you and if you have anything to add to the ever growing list of things to bring out for you. We are looking forward to our trip, I'm a bit worried about two nights on a boat through the Bay of Biscay but if I survive that I will see you next Wednesday. Hope you get a chance to ring us before we leave here on Friday. Love mum and dad xxxxx

Hi there Philippa with the boil on her b-- face. I can sympathise with you exactly because I suffered greatly in my late teens (17 until about 22). I lost a lot of time off work so I know how you have suffered, glad to know you are on the mend. Don't squeeze too hard or you may spread the infection. I am home now after two days in hospital, (QE). They have fitted me with a heart pacemaker and I am once again and again and again 21 years of age !!!. After I get the stitches out and the wound heals I hope to feel much better. Your Mam was saying today that Catherine is hoping to spend a weekend with you soon. That will be lovely for you both and I hope it goes well. Enough for now, will be in touch soon. Keep the postcards coming.
All our love XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Hi Phlippa...your mam keeps me up to date with all your news and it's great to hear how well you're settling into Spanish life. Your flat sounds wonderful, especially the sea view bit, and I know how much Helen and Don are looking forward to seeing it soon. We were in London last week and really enjoyed it even though Peter has me walking for miles each day. We're very fond of walking along the Southbank and this time we had David Blayne waiting at Tower Bridge. Couldn't believe the number of people there and then how tiny the box was...it was very, very hot the day we went so don't know how comfortable it was for him. Lots of girls were taking clothes off and waving to him but security was really tight so they weren't able to get as close as they wanted! Wish we still had some of that heat here; it's only just after 7pm and already the light is going. We have one little bat living in the ivy and he flies around in front of the window each night....we watch him for a little and then it's time for the curtains to close!! We also have a hedgehog watch...a baby hedgehog comes into the back garden for a drink but we have to watch him carefully as he has no road sense (or even street sense) and I have to pick him up sometimes when it's busy and put him back under the hedge. It's all go here as you can see! Take care and much love Margaret xxxxx

Hi there Philippa, what a pleasure it was to get your recent very upbeat postcard and to know that things are going very well for you. You seem to have integrated very well with everything, it is amazing. Please remember ALL who read your postcards are not teachers!!! I will have to get your Mam to explain to me what Resources and Laminators are. Great to know you have such a wonderful flat with balcony and pool, almost like being on holiday. Pleased to hear your Spanish lingo is progressing to the stage where you were able to negotiate the acquisition of your flat in Spanish. It won't be long now until your Mam & Dad will be with you, it will be great for you and they are dying to get there and be shown around and meet all your new Spanish friends. Must finish this off now Philippa before I run out of paper. I am leaving now to go and see Grandma and taking a print out of your postcard with me . All our love Grandma & Grandpa. XXXXXXXX
