I arrived at Nha Trang at around 6 am and got off the bus while Boris and Maude stayed on the bus as they were heading straight to Da Lat and not stopping in Nha Trang. We said good bye to each other and I got a moto to Backpackers House to see if they had any availability. The guy at reception told me that they had room for me but I would have to wait until 12:00 before I could check in. Luckily they had a toilet and more importantly a shower that I could use while I waited. Once showered, I bumped in to an English girl who had also turned up too early to check in and we went off for some breakfast together. After breakfast she went back to wait at the hostel and I went off for a long walk along the beach to pass some time. I got so hot, I even stripped to my boxers and went in the clear blue sea to cool down.
After walking for about two hours and by this time I had dried off I headed back to the hostel to check in properly only to find out that they where full and I couldn't get a bed. They were quite apologetic and offered to take me somewhere else to get a room. They recommended a hostel next door called the Son & Daughter Guesthouse which was a little bit cheaper than the other hostel, so I asked to have a look at their rooms and I checked in here instead.
I dumped off my stuff and went for a quick sleep as I was so tired from not really sleeping too much on the bus. Then I stayed in my room as it had air-conditioning and updated some more of my blog which is now getting very behind. While updating my blog 4 Irish guys checked in the same dorm room as me and we got chatting a bit and decided to meet up later and go for dinner and then watch the England v Germany afterwards.
The 4 Irish guys and I went off to the Italian restaurant as we were all quite fed up of eating Vietnamese food and fancied something different for a change. After dinner we all went to watch England v Germany (and they lost 4-1and are now out of the World cup) at Why Not Bar and have a quite a few drinks while watch the match as they had happy hour on while the game was playing.
After Why Not Bar at around 12:00 we headed over to the Sailing Club, which was an actual sailing club but they also had an outdoor bar and night club right on the beach front. From here things get a bit sketchy as we started drinking buckets of vodka and red bull to drown our sorrows and I am not sure what time we all left, I think it was at around 2am. But a great night was had by all even though England had lost and were out of the cup (I think!).
