Well Vientiane has been a place of mixed emotions and experiences. As I said a few days ago about us feeling ill, on arrival in Vientiane, Jace took a turn for the worse and he went from feeling like he was coming down with a cold to not being able to do anything at all. Well we have covered a lot of miles in the past few days and have been on the move pretty much all the time. As I was telling you, we were going to check out Pakse and arrived on the 12th October during a day of rain. On arrival at our digs we done some research and found that the most common thing was to arrange a day tour to the Bolaven Plateau that is around 90km north of Pakse. So we arrived in Laos on the 6th October after a very crammed and bumpy four hour bus ride, followed by a three hour wait for another bus and finally a two hour bus ride over the boarder.
