They say you learn by your mistakes - which is simply learning one way NOT to do something.
The first day of 'retirement'. We woke this morning before the sun, excited about venturing to Seaford to collect our new home - "Clive" the Cruiseliner 5.
P:Okay, so have we got everything? K: Yep.

P: Where's the bank cheque?
K: You've asked me that five times already, it's in the glove box.
P: Right, okay I forgot.

We hit the road, needing to be in melbourne by 11am.
P: Where's the bank cheque? I need to pay the insurance before we get there.
K: IT'S IN THE GLOVE BOX!

I open the glove box (AKA pegz mobile filing cabinet) searching for a clearly marked envelope...OH FARK A DOODLE DO...it suddenly dawns on me...

P: Umm...(looking at kerry sheepishly out of the corner of my eye) that wouldn't have been the blank envelope with NAB in the corner that I recycled on wednesday as part of my cleaning frenzy that extend from the practice to the glove box???? Would it???
K: YES!!!
P: Why didn't you tell me!!!
K: (no comment- just a look)
P: Quick! Let's ring someone to pull in the recycling bin before the truck comes!!!

7.25am: We U-bolt and head to Wang.
MaryAnn - she'll be up! No longer the loyal employee, but I'm sure she'll come to our rescue! Ooh b***** she's about to board a train to melbourne.
Sister Vez: ring ring...msg bank...ring ring...probably still in bed - try her in 3 weeks time with a new baby and I bet she'll be up!!
Brother Bryce: Hey Booz you at work yet? Yeah sorry Peg! Mmm, what about Ash (the very new sister in-law)??

Moral to the story:
The glove box is officially deemed NOT a "safe place". And beware venturing outdoors before 7.30am, or you might see a desperate woman in her mornings finest attire chasing down a recycle truck!!!! Thanks Ash - welcome to the family!!!
