Spent the last few days in Bangkok which was an experience...Decided to push the boat out and stay at a really nice hotel. Was in a five star luxury suite which was huge with a bathroom as big as my flat, a living area, a kitchen and huge bed...all that for about 50 quid a night...It would have cost a fortune in the UK so I thought I would live it up while I can!! For the last 3 days have stayed at the Nature Lodge on Sungai Kinabatangan river in Sabah. I was a little unsure about how much I would enjoy this as I am not typically the 'in touch with nature' type...I absolutely loved it!! We stayed in wood huts right on the river and each day had 6am boat ride down the river, a 3 hour trek into the jungle and an hour or so night trek. During the stay we came across a couple of Orang Utan, lots, maybe 7 or 8, pygmy eleph...

Sipidan is fantastic!! Had 3 dives just off the island and saw so much. We swam with sharks (reef and white tip sharks), they were anything between 6 foot to about 10 foot and would swim within a couple of feet of you. Also came across huge turtles that must have been 4 foot across. Loads of beautifully coloured fish, plants and corals...it was wonderful. Today has been a royal pain in the arse!! Got up ready for my second day of diving only to be informed that my credit card payment (made yesterday) had been rejected. Tried to phone the credit card company but could not get a connection. Tried to draw cash out from the machine (again) but no joy! Headed off to Mabul today for 3 dives. Really nice island with beautiful beaches, palm trees, and great waters for diving. Swam with turtles, huge scholes of barracuda, sting rays etc. The colours were amazing and it was a great feeling to be diving again. It is such a fantastic feeling to be able to control your movement in 3 dimentions...its like flying and having total control of where you want to be. At first I had a little trouble controling my bouyancy...
