Rode the Alaskan Highway all day with lots of short stops for wildlife viewing. We're not seeing all the bears we saw last year as the strawberries were early but did see one black bear sitting by the side of the road. What an incredible day! This won't post for awhile as we are now out of Internet and cellular service areas but there is a restaurant nearby that has wifi so might be able to post in the morning. We rode on several types of conditions today, beautiful roads up and down mountains and lots of construction, had several miles of gravel and one area where we had to be escorted by a pilot truck. Great weather again today but definitely getting cooler. Saw some wildlife today, a moose, a deer and a bald eagle. Stopped at a rest area which was on a fast running creek and spoke to several locals who were fishing there, they gave us some great information on some areas to go to for beautiful scenery. Another beautiful day, can't believe the difference in weather from last year to this. We left Banff this morning and traveled through Banff and Jasper National Parks, breath taking scenery! We stopped at three of the glaciers to get pictures and used the "selfie" stick for the first time. Took a riding break at Mount Robson which is the highest mountain in British Columbia. Beautiful day for riding (once we finally got on the road) but much warmer than last year. Temperatures were in the 80's and 90's so no heated gear needed. Today and tomorrow we will be in beautiful but very touristy areas, will stop at the Columbia ice fields tomorrow for some pictures.
