Hi all
When we arrived in Kuala Lumpur it was very manic, the traffic was terrible! We must have drove around for about three hours trying to find some accommodation, the first twenty hotels we tried we were fully booked. At this stage we thought we might have to sleep on a park bench as everywhere we tried was full! We eventually found a hostel called Red Dragon in Chinatown, this was our first hostel to stay in so far on our trip. It wasn't too bad the staff were very friendly but the rooms weren't much to look at but it's still a bed for the night!
The next day we did a day trip around Kuala Lumpur and endured all the traffic! We went to many places, like the Petronas Tower, KL Tower, History Museum, Times Square and we even managed to fit in a visit to St Mary's Catholic Church. We got on a tour bus and the guides were really helpful.
That night we went to the China Town markets, it was so busy. We did buy a few cheap dvds though. The markets were very cheap and good fun. We then tried out the chinese cuisine which was very tasty!
The following day we deceided to chill out again so we went to a Water Park, when we got there we were the only two people in the park until later on that day more people arrived. We both had a good time at the waterpark even if we did act like big kids.
We are off to Singapore soon on the bus, apparently it's only 5 hours from Malaysia. We both enjoyed Kuala Lumpur but we can't wait to see Singapore!!
