Monday and Tuesday's is their weekend here in paksong which also means its two free days for volunteers. Me and tailor decided to get a bus to rangong (the nearest city with shops and markets) to buy a few things and chill there for the day. This morning Ingrid kindly gave me and tailor a Thai lesson which was helpful but wasn't easy. Once We started to get the hang of it we did some more gardening then practised our Thai on the cooks over beers and whiskey. Towards the end of the evening i think anything went and we almost sounded fluent.

Today was 'help the kids' day. We began at 8:30 which involved assisting a teacher in a class room full of nutty Thai kids. We sang songs, draw pictures and played loads of games which I actually had a lot of fun with. I couldn't help thinking how these kids games could be converted to summer drinking games, bundles of fun! Same again today: big breakfast, feed the stinky chickens and crack on with some gardening. But this time I almost wrecked a whole vegetable patch by digging a hole through a water pipe that burst and flooded the area. Whoopsy! Luckily the Thai boys found it funny and helped me fix it plus it gave everyone else a 4hour lunch break. My dad would of been proud... My heavy hand strikes again!
