We got up early as we were getting picked up at 8.30am to go to Vang Vieng. The big challenge was to try to fit everything in our bags! With a lot of squeezing, we managed it! We went to the bus station and saw our VIP bus! Not too sure what was VIP about it! We got on board and started our journey to Vang Vieng. The scenery was lovely! Mountains everywhere! We think that it was only 140km, but it took 8 hours because the whole journey was around the mountains! ...

On our first day in Luang Probang we woke up early! Not by choice, but by a combination of a whining cat, screaming children and a very uncomfy bed!! Still, we'd had enough sleep to keep us going!
